Spring cleaning is worth the effort. A little tidying up now can save you from hassle or even disaster.
. Inspect smoke detectors and replace batteries
. Replace all high-intensity light bulbs (like incandescent) with fluorescent, they're not as hot
. Has your fire extinguisher expired?
. Clean or replace your furnance filter
. Clean the clothes dryer exhaust duct and space under the dryer
. Time to have the air-conditioning system inspected by a professional and given a tune-up
